Something fishy here!

Both Papa and I spotted the fishiness here at the Havana Aquarium. We also got to eat lunch while watching the dolphins. Check out the artistry and Mommy's excellent photo.

The Old Man, the Sea and Me!

Sorry Papa, you're not that old. But we are at Ernest Hemingway's house in Havana, where he wrote his famous book. Behind us is the boat that he used to go marlin fishing off Cojmar, just east of Havana. His experiences here served as the basis for his book.

Tourists

We sure don't look like Habaneros in this photo. This kind of transportation is usually reserved for foreign tourists. My big brother Soren wanted to take me on a ride with the "caballo". You can see him riding shotgun with our chauffeur.

Peering at the Pier

Here we are with Papa at a pier in Old Havana. It's a good thing Papa is holding onto us because we wouldn't want to go swimming in the Havana Bay. Not even the fish enjoy these waters.

Sailor Siesta

After a tough day of sailing the seas, I was too exhausted to even open my eyes for the photo. The salty seas and stormy air can sometimes be too much for a wee sailor.

Birdie Num Nums

In Plaza San Francisco you can either be friend or foe to the pigeons. You can feed them and become their friend or you can run around and chase them, tormenting the little buggers. What would a young toddler prefer you think?

Special Emissary

We received a special visit from the office of Gordon O'Connor in November. This special Emissary just happened to be my Papa. What a great time we had together!

Who's the Baby?

It's hard all of a sudden being a big brother. All of a sudden I have to be responsible and show my little brother Darius what to do and what not to do. For example, don't overload a mode of transport meant for one person. Well, I never said I was ready to be a big brother....

Daddy and his boys

Look at our daddy! Doesn't he know how to pose for a photo by now?

Don't look so shocked.

3 wheels are better than 2

I've got to start somewhere. With a little help from Elmo (the backseat driver), I'm learning to put pedal to the metal and make some forward progress.

2 Peas in a Pram

We couldn't help ourselves. It was no fun with just one of us in the big pram. We were planning a big adventure, but after 5 minutes of walking on the bumpy Cuban streets, we were both fast asleep.

Spider Man

Spider Man, does whatever a spider can. Spins a web - anytime, begs for candy - all the time. Look out! Here comes your Spidermannnnnnnnnn!

Happy Halloween!

What's Halloween without a pumpkin! My parents could not get an actual pumpkin here in Cuba, so they created their own. A Darius'O'lantern!

Look Mom! Clean Feet!

If you're happy and you know, raise your feet! After some O's and some Swedish, not Swiss, berries, it's always good to kick up your feet and enjoy a bevvy!

Where's Darius?

Has anybody seen my brother Darius? It seems my Thomas hat is still a little big. Darius, say something, where are you?

Casa sweet Casa!

This is one of the first shots of me in my new home in Havana. Nothing fancy, just me in my chair. I can tell you though, that that outfit was pretty hot for Cuba. Did I just say that that?

Matching Sweaters

No, Aunt Margaret did not get me this outfit, but she was considerate enough to change her sweater to make sure she matched me.

Hello Neighbour

My brother Soren had told me lots about Papa's neighbour, Brian. I was lucky to get to meet him before returning to Cuba. I can't wait till I'm old enough to taste his spicy cooking!

Pumpkin Fondue!

Not a typical Halloween meal, but this pumpkin cheese fondue was delicious. Grandma did a great job with a brand new recipe. Unfortunately, pumpkins are not too popular in Cuba. Perhaps a squash or yuca fondue....

Cooperstown

This is as close as I'll come to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I met little Cooper, who was born just a couple of weeks after me. He is my 2nd cousin and apparently a huge baseball fan. Maybe he should visit Cuba, where baseball reigns supreme.

Mary, Mary.....

Before heading back to Cuba, I got to meet, little Mary. Her nickname is Pebbles. She says she might like to visit me sometime in Havana.
