Toboggan Baby

Boy, was I spent after this. I'm not sure if it was the toboggan ride or the cold cocoa but it sure wiped me out. Many thanks to my mommy for not leaving me outside to nap.

Who likes snow?

Daddy said he was very proud of me to be enjoying the great Canadian outdoors. Of course, my smile outside in warm Cuba is even bigger.

Next Crazy Canuck

Take note everybody. He may be small yet, but he's got the daring and the dash to be the next Crazy Canuck. One major problem - not much snow in Cuba. I'll have to tell my parents to pick their next destination where there is snow.

Record Time

Despite the snow spraying us in the kisser, we sledded down in record time and, more importantly, without bailing. Full credit should go to the driver. The brakeman (Daddy) had very little role in all of this as he didn't apply the brakes once.

Difficult Turn

We started to lose control halfway down the course, but, as the driver, I did a nice job of recovering and set us up for a record time down the last half of the Heathcliffe course.

On Your Marks

Here goes the 2 man bobled, with lead Soren Burger. It looks like a steep descent. Let's see how we end up.

Kings of the Snow Castle

Not a lot competition around but Daddy and I proved to be the King and Prince of Heathcliffe Castle. Everyone else was too busy shovelling snow, I guess.

Hola Cuba!

This one to all our friends in Cuba! This is what you're missing out on by not going to Canada for Christmas. Who needs sun, ocean and beaches when you can get this?

Camping Out

Ikea meets Algonquin Park with this tent full of balls. Who needs a water bed when you can sleep on these?

Petit Dari

Oui, c'est moi, le petit Dari. Aimez-vous mon chapeau dans le style "classique" français? Mais, cherie, où est la baguette?

Little or Senior League?

A little warm up for the big game. Not too many games happening in Canada but my Great Granny is practising with me for the big games to come in Cuba.

Thomas Takes the Day

In one of the predominant themes of the day, you can see how Thomas and his friends have taken over our lives. In fact, I think Mommy spent more time playing with my trains than I did.

Bumbo

One of my best Christmas presents was this Bumbo Chair. I can just relax in it and wait until the next present arrives.

What's the Area Code for the North Pole?

I just wanted to give Saint Nick a call on the Goofy phone to thank him for all the gifts. He's probably caught in a snow storm so I'll leave a message with Mrs. Claus.

Power of Youth

It seems that Darius has outlasted older brother Soren. Perhaps Soren is just too much like his Mommy and needs his beauty sleep.

Double Burger!

When we got to Papa's house in Ottawa, Glamma had this wonderful Thomas the Tank Engine bed waiting for us. While meant for one, we're learning to share early on. We share lots, just not our leche.

Kings of the Snow Castle!

What an incredibly huge castle to guard! And this was only December! It's been a crazy winter in Canada, and we were lucky enough to be apart of the madness for part of it. It makes the Cuban humidity a little more appealing.

Back Breaking Work

They're not kidding when they see that snow shovelling is a lot of work. Try doing it with gloves that have no thumbs!

Abby Splash

Before departing at the end of Christmas, cousin Abby wanted to give me a final goodbye via a body slam. We decided it wasn't a good idea after all the turkey we had eaten. Perhaps in a year or two....

Battle of the Babes

While keeping our grandparents exceedingly entertained, cousin Abby and I are locked in a staring battle to see who cracks first and makes the other one smile. Hopefully she doesn't notice that I've got the soother in my mouth....

Musical Tree

Proving that the musical apple does not fall far from the tree, I'm watching and learning from Grandma on how to play the piano. This talent might have skipped a generation but it's still alive. I can't wait to graduate to wearing a silly hat.

Gift for Darius

One of my first gifts. It's a beautiful hand-knit sweater. It may be too warm in Cuba, but I can still chew on it.

Abigail's 1st Christmas

Here is Soren and Mommy sharing a special moment with cousin Abby on her very first Christmas.

Christmas morning

Looks like Santa Claus forgot to drink all his milk. Soren in his Christmas robe is taking care of that. Darius obviously was up earlier as he is already in his Christmas clothes.
