Boy, was I spent after this. I'm not sure if it was the toboggan ride or the cold cocoa but it sure wiped me out. Many thanks to my mommy for not leaving me outside to nap.
Take note everybody. He may be small yet, but he's got the daring and the dash to be the next Crazy Canuck. One major problem - not much snow in Cuba. I'll have to tell my parents to pick their next destination where there is snow.
Despite the snow spraying us in the kisser, we sledded down in record time and, more importantly, without bailing. Full credit should go to the driver. The brakeman (Daddy) had very little role in all of this as he didn't apply the brakes once.
We started to lose control halfway down the course, but, as the driver, I did a nice job of recovering and set us up for a record time down the last half of the Heathcliffe course.
Not a lot competition around but Daddy and I proved to be the King and Prince of Heathcliffe Castle. Everyone else was too busy shovelling snow, I guess.
This one to all our friends in Cuba! This is what you're missing out on by not going to Canada for Christmas. Who needs sun, ocean and beaches when you can get this?
In one of the predominant themes of the day, you can see how Thomas and his friends have taken over our lives. In fact, I think Mommy spent more time playing with my trains than I did.
I just wanted to give Saint Nick a call on the Goofy phone to thank him for all the gifts. He's probably caught in a snow storm so I'll leave a message with Mrs. Claus.
When we got to Papa's house in Ottawa, Glamma had this wonderful Thomas the Tank Engine bed waiting for us. While meant for one, we're learning to share early on. We share lots, just not our leche.
What an incredibly huge castle to guard! And this was only December! It's been a crazy winter in Canada, and we were lucky enough to be apart of the madness for part of it. It makes the Cuban humidity a little more appealing.
Before departing at the end of Christmas, cousin Abby wanted to give me a final goodbye via a body slam. We decided it wasn't a good idea after all the turkey we had eaten. Perhaps in a year or two....
While keeping our grandparents exceedingly entertained, cousin Abby and I are locked in a staring battle to see who cracks first and makes the other one smile. Hopefully she doesn't notice that I've got the soother in my mouth....
Proving that the musical apple does not fall far from the tree, I'm watching and learning from Grandma on how to play the piano. This talent might have skipped a generation but it's still alive. I can't wait to graduate to wearing a silly hat.
Looks like Santa Claus forgot to drink all his milk. Soren in his Christmas robe is taking care of that. Darius obviously was up earlier as he is already in his Christmas clothes.
