Sandhat

From this angle, it's as if my head is full of sand. I look like a remnant of the Sandpeople.

Snooping

My little doggie hat is leading me to find sea shells and barnacles and crabs and all sorts of things from the sea.

3 Paces to the left

Arrggh! Matey! I swears the buried treasure should be right abouts here. Start digging!

Turtles

Here turtle, turtle, turtle... Where are you? Raphael? Michealangelo? Leonardo?

Beach ware

Not typical ware, if you couldn't already tell, but I swear Glamma put me up to it.

Leading by the nose

The nose of the hat that is. My doggie hat was leading me around the Kite beach.

Woolly

Not exactly appropriate beach ware, but the bohemian look kind of fits the style of the North Coast. I got my share of looks.

The Kites are out

It must be mid-afternoon when all the sports aficionados come out to sample the wind. It's very cool watching the real pros do tricks in the air, controlling this incredibly powerful and heavy kite.

Reflections

It was not nighttime on the beach as Mommy was using some funky camera setting, but it made for a nice shot. It looks like I'm lost in deep thoughts. I'm actually just considering to suck or chew my lollipop.

Kite Beach Hotel

We took Glamma and Poppa to Cabarete, the "kite beach" capital of the world. You don't come here to relax on the beach. The beach is notoriously full of wind and waves. For a good part of the year, the conditions are perfect to learn this sport. Just don't go with Daddy as he tried twice but there was not enough wind.
Me, I'm just happy with the hotel balcony.

Do you see what I see?

Hey Poppa, do you? What are you doing back there? The action is up here. Look, I see humpback whales. Oh wait, just a little blue fish. But it sure looks big to me.

Meshing it up

This was pretty cool. Hanging out on the front of the big boat on top of the rope with an open view down to the ocean below. Here, fishy, fishy, fishy...

Bald eagle's view

Yes, that it is the beginning of a bald spot on old Daddy's melon. But beyond that, look how cool we are to be sitting out on the dock, inches from the blue sea.

Catamaran

We had a special visit in December from Poppa and Glamma. They stayed with us for almost 3 weeks and we got to see lots of different things on the island. Here we are on the North coast cruising the waters on a catamaran. Who says Newfies don't like the water?

Dariusson

A new pupil is unleashed. Is little Darius ready to follow in his big brother's little footsteps in the Caribbean Tae Kwon Do school? Maybe not right away, but the Maestro sees potential. Our little "Tigre" will be something to watch.

What's next Maestro?

I would have to say that Maestro Maximo is undoubtedly one of my first mentors. He has instilled discipline, skills, competitiveness and class. But most importantly, we've had lots of fun doing it. Muchas gracias Maestro.

Yellow Belt

Shortly after the tournament, it was time for another exam and I proceeded to successfully notch another colour on the old belt. Or is it, notch another belt? Either way yellow looks good to me!

Club Champs

As it turned out, there was a controversial decision at the tournament and Ramon Jr won the final. My coaches were not too impressed by the decision and decided to award me and Juan Daniel gold medals for our dedication and efforts. How about 3 cheers for our TKD club?

1st Round Knockdown

Things started very well for the champ as he even managed a surprising takedown of Ramon jr. which would certainly score points with the judges.
