Yellow Submarine

Submarine? This isn't the naval museum, this is space.

What are you guys sitting on?

2 Pilots

I'm not sure who you would want as your pilot and who as co-pilot. Guys, if you really want to do this, remember to keep eating your carrots.

Space Show

There was not getting our attention while this show was ongoing. Unless, maybe, you were to bring us some popcorn. Is that free Mommy, just like the museum?

Hey, it's Amelia!

We had not met little sister Amelia before. Sore used to play with Alexa in Cuba, while Darius and Izzy were just starting to learn to play together when we all left.

Free Museum?

What a concept at the Smithsonian Institute! We might have a solution for Obama's debt crisis. Start charging the tourists for the museums! So we went to the Air & Space Museum and you might say we got our money's worth!

Rising Up

What a coincidence, meeting our friends on the same subway! It was cool riding up out of the dark tunnels on an escalator. Say hi to our friends Alexa and Isabel!

DC Baby

After some time back in Canada and our new home, it was time for another adventure. This time, to the capital of our neighbour to the south. We stayed with some friends from Cuba who now live in Virginia.

This day we went into the big capital to meet some friends. It was cool riding the subway. Here we are following the map, making sure we get there on time. Hey, isn't that Daddy's job?

Adios

Muchas gracias Republica Dominicana! We had some good times and we had some tough times, but as a family we came out

of it with a great experience and an even stronger family. See everybody in Canada!

Royal Club Sandwich

One of my last meals on the island and it's a classic. I wonder if I'll be able to find bacon in Canada to make my club sandwich complete.

Oodles and oodles of noodles

The Royal Club never ran out of stock. After our time in Cuba, that was a noticeable pleasure. I got lots of practice on the cruise ship eating spaghetti so I'm much improved. I think I still have a ways to go to match the fine dining though.

Mama mia

Daddy says he has a photo just like these of himself as a young boy. I guess spaghetti runs in the blood. Num, num!

Miguel

The one constant of our trips to Punta Cana was Miguel who was always our waiter in the Royal Club. He knew what our favorites were. Spaghetti, pollo and papas fritas por favor!

Brothers in Arms

Indeed we are close brothers and we have lived some very interesting times. We hope we remember the good times in the Caribbean. Our blog will help with that. In the meantime, onwards and upwards.

Ready to Go?

After living for 1.5 years in Cuba and 2 years in the Dominican Republic, I was asked if I would like to live in Canada. Here's my answer!

Lunch for 2 please

And we'd like a table that will fit 6 because we are very hungry. It's our last all-inclusive experience in a long time so we have to get our money's worth. Wait a second - Daddy's paying. We already got our money's worth.

Peek a boo!

Waiter see me, waiter don't. The fancy schmancy dining room was a little bit too elegant for me. More comfortable beneath the table.

Royal Club

What a better way for a send off than a 3 day weekend in Punta Cana. Our favorite hotel offered us the Royal Club treatment of course. A great way to end it.

3 Cheers for the Goalie

That's right, I was the star goalie. We'll see if I continue being the goalie as it's the loneliest position in sports.

Equipe Lycee

The team's final celebration on the last day of soccer.

Team Lycee

Here's the team shot with our coach. Hard to tell who's on what team, but maybe that's part of the fun.

Golden Ball

As I was more of a goalie than a striker, I took home a gold medal for the Golden Ball, not for the Golden Boot.

Futbol!

Last game. Mommy came out to cheer me on for my final soccer game in Santo Domingo.

My Ticket

What? You bought me a ticket? Oh, well then, I guess I shouldn't have worried after all. I'm going home to Canada too!

Travel Companion

Don't leave me behind, were Marley's exact thoughts as he tried to secure his passage. He knew things were moving and he didn't want to be caught without a ticket or a passport.
