It's like hockey but not quite, so Coach Klett is providing some useful tips in how to grip the twig to be able to properly swing at that ball.  Daddy is in his soccer tracksuit in the background mildly approves.

After a little bit of practice, are we ready for the real thing?  By the look of the disorganization, Coach Klett, maybe we need a little more time on the practice field. 

Green Lantern

This was my first practice on the Green Lanterns.  Can you tell?
It seems I'm not too sure what to do with the ball and glove.  Don't worry, I'll figure it out. 

Baseball

The boys of Spring are here and the boys have signed up for a little ball.  Here I am with my new uniform.  What a great club this is with personalized hats!  Is that an S for Soren?  Oh, it's the Stittsville Softball Club. 

Heathcliffe Hunt

It wasn't over there as apparently the Easter Bunny got confused and laid some eggs at Glamma and Poppa's house.  Due to the size of these eggs (for adults, obviously), we needed to call in extra hands, leading to Sam & Ben's successful stash. 

Successful Hunt

Mommy, you'll have to buy another checkers board for next year as we've completely filled this one and we didn't sneak any eggs in our tummies yet. 

Your Move

What started out as a nice game of Cheggers, simply got out of control once we "laid" out all of the eggs we found in the hunt.  Now, it's anybody's guess what the next available move would be.

Egg Checkers

It looks like Darius is missing a few pawns.  Perhaps, he came out 2nd best in the hunt for eggs.  Knowing these boys, however, I'm sure sharing will kick in and it will even out.

Some activities are just more fun in your PJs and this includes searching out what the Easter Bunny left behind. Can you spot any eggs?

Superhero Vision

The glasses I sport here not only give me special superhero vision but it also alarms everyone standing in my way.  Who is that young marvel with the crazy glasses?

What is it?

Nobody seems to be sure what they're looking at, but something on that table has everyone's attention.  With my chapeau and my perch I can oversee what's happening. 

I'm not listening!

It seems Liam is having issues with turning 2 years old.  He refuses to believe it, although the lighted #2 candle seems to be swaying his acceptance a little bit. 

Big 2.0

After our trip to Montreal, we came straight back to Stittsville to partake in a milestone party for Liam who turned the big 2.0.  Do the balloons give it away?

More Commuting?

Here we are with Mommy in front of their old Montreal apartment.  Mommy remembers this very well as she used to commute every week from Ottawa.  Saturday after work, she would jump on the bus to Montreal and stay until Wednesday morning when she would bus back.  Pretty neat arrangement, all things considered.  I'm not sure that would work now though...

5135 Park Avenue

We didn't quite grasp the magnitude of the moment, however, we're told that this is the apartment building where Mommy and Daddy lived in Montreal from 2001 to 2003.  They have lots of good memories and stories from this era when Daddy was studying at Concordia University.  I wonder if their key still works...

Reflections

Staring out at beautiful horizons can really make your thoughts wander.  Of course, it doesn't take me much to have my thoughts wander.  I'm told I have incredible focus and an incredible ability to block out outside noise, including the voices of my parents. 

Mystery

This couldn't be a clam, could it?  In the St. Lawrence?  Maybe it's a butterfly fossil...  Perhaps a funky rock...  Nothing's ever obvious in Quebec. 

The Entertainer

From high up on his perch, I present Darius the Entertainer.  Once you've spent 10 minutes with him, you'll know what I'm talking about as he can be a little animated and boisterous. 

Tipping the balance

Actually, even if this were an actual seesaw, it wouldn't move very much as we are about the same weight, despite our age difference. 

Beachcomber

Okay, it's not the West coast with its massive trees and logs, but since I've never been there, except in my mommy's tummy, this is pretty good. 

Smile or Smirk

Not sure which this is, but at least it's a pose for the camera on the waterfront. 

Meanwhile...

The hooded one is checking out the horizon down by the water.  It's a nice spot, but man, we're used to having warmer water and air with these kinds of views. 

Little Skater

I found this little skateboard on the walking trail and it was just perfect.  Okay, it has no wheels, but then again, I don't know how to ride a skateboard yet.  First, you have to look the part.  Hairstyle - check.  Funky outfit - check.  Now, it's about learning to carry the board so it looks like you know what you're doing. 

Synchro Diving

Somehow, I don't think this is how and where Alex Despatie learned his superior diving skills.  And we're not about to either in this cool water and rocky shore. 

Ahoy!

Land may only be on the other side of the Saint Lawrence, but from my perspective, it seems pretty far.  I'll stick to the rocky shore, thanks. 

Rockin' out...

Tout le gang

Now we have everyone in the picture.  Kiel is in Daddy's arms and if you look closely, you can a little smile from little brother Theo.

Kiel didn't show up for the photo but the rest look pretty settled for this nice spring shot.

We're almost all set here for a lovely park photo but we're missing one little boy.  Kiel's mommy is doing her best to call him in.

Very neat camera work as we look through the massive tree branches for a glimpse of Aquaman, another superhero practising swinging through the air. 

Swingman

What a great big tree in Kiel's yard that just opens itself up for some serious super hero swing action.  That's what's missing in our big yard.  A tree about 30 years old to accommodate. 

Equipped

This is a hiker ready for anything.  We are about to head down to Lake Shore Boulevard on the West Island of Montreal.  If it rains, check.  Sunny, check.  Need to rappel or spelunk, check.  Bring it on, adventure!

Outside Kiel's house, Darius puts on a show, with funky glasses and matching hat.  That's a swinging cat!

Cedric

And there is Daddy's good friend Volodymyr, otherwise known as Cedric, with the latest babe.  Are all those pancakes for the two of you?

Kiel

We finally were able to meet little Kiel who is the son of Mommy & Daddy's good friends from Montreal, Volodymyr and Megan.  They had not seen enough in many years and look how much can change, as evident with all of us little guys.
