A little help...

...from my grandsons.  Will they help me eat my favorite carrot cake though, asks Glamma.  Mommy might be disappointed since she made the cake.  Not surprised, but maybe disappointed.

Glamma Bday Cake

Glamma told us the number of candles doesn't matter to her anymore.  Since Darius is 4, it seemed the best inoffensive number.

Happy Birthday Glamma!

1st Jump

How's this for cool?  Mommy & Daddy had picked up this beauty trampoline in the previous fall but decided not to put it up until this year.  Had we known, we would have insisted.  This is mega fun!

Cooperstown?

My cousin, Cooper, is such a natural at this game, that they named a place after him and put the Baseball Hall of Fame in it.  It's sure cool being on his team.

Infield Pinch

The word on this batter is he's not a slugger so we're crowding the infield.  I'm in my froggie ready position.  Come on batter, right to me, right to me.

Safe!

Despite the lack of distance on my infield hit, there was some confusion amongst the fielders and it seems they all wanted that ball.  End result - I'm on base.

Which way, Coach?

Coach K is right there to point me in the right direction.  Down to 1st base and then what?  I just stand there?  This is a funny sport.

Connection

A nice, clean hit down the 1st base line.  Great coach, can you get the ball so I can do it again?  What do I mean, I only get 1 hit?

Play T-Ball

That's right, Darius started his baseball career in the spring at the T.  It makes it a little bit easier to get the hang of things.  Coach Kevin just needs to show me a little bit how to get that right swing.  Here, batter, batter, batter, swingggggggggg, batter!

Supporting Cast

The Conehead boys with their party hats have made their appearance, now that the cake has arrived.  Uncle Carl, need any help cutting the cake or trying the icing.  We're your guys.

Uncle Carl Time

Even big uncles get to celebrate birthdays.  It had been a few years since we were able to celebrate with him.  With the look of that nice cake, we should be doing it every year.

Opa's boy

Baby Conor is really starting to grow up, although he's still pretty clingy with Opa.  Opa just loves his grandkids when they're that small.  It's keeping him young.

Sandpeople

Much like the strange characters from Star Wars, these three young characters add a strange and qwerky element to any birthday party.  It looks like the one with the yellow cone hat, could be the prince of the sandpeople, or maybe the cast-off.

Dreaming of the beach

This mini-turtle sandbox, while fun, only kept us longing for the sandy paradise of the Caribbean.  Here we are in May and we're still wearing pants with no ocean in sight.  We'll just have to make do.

Max and me

Either cousin Conor has some great presence or he's got some food in his hand.  How else would Mad Max be in such polite control?  He doesn't often make an appearance, but when he does, Max is certainly not unnoticed.

Popeye Snack

This must be the start of the summer if we can sit outside and enjoy a snack.  Cousin Abigail seems to enjoy spinach dip as does Grandma, of course.  I notice, we're still wearing sweaters though.

Celebration Dance

It might have taken a few pitches to get the hang of hitting, but it didn't take long to work on a celebration.  Check out these moves.

Swing...batter!

With Daddy looking on in approval, this Green Lantern makes a solid connection on the fastball, crashing the ball down the first base line.
