...green fish, my fish. We must say, the BioDome experience from colder waters up north is a little bit different than the Aquariums we've visited in the bright, blue Caribbean.
Not exactly the spot to practice this extreme sport, but it sure helps with a better view for some of these tropical animals. The heat and humidity in here almost feels like Cuba or the Dominican.
I'm adopting a little more mature and studious look as we head into the Bio-dome in hopes of discovering new fauna and flora that we have not yet seen in our travels. Omm, Daddy? What's flora and fauna?
While Mommy & Daddy spent some time with friends, we got our own holiday visiting Sonia and her kids with Grandma and Opa. Now we're reunited and ready to soak up some useful information.
We began our holidays with a trip to Montreal to see some old friends, some of whom have also moved on with their lives. Here is the latest example with the baby from Dror and Young. So cute and so tiny!
Clearly summer is in full swing we're dining outside at the picnic table with the cuzzies. Hey, there must have been a wrestling match as I see the shirts are off. Or maybe it was simply overheating from the trampoline fest. Either way, we love summer!
What's more Canadian than painting your face and riding around on a golf cart? This year we joined up with the Ferguson Lake parade, sporting our colours along the way.
After being outside in the sun all day and playing games, it's no wonder I had no further energy. Bed-time? No, I'll just stay here and take the couch.
A truly great day for the community and the game of baseball. Check out the colours and team spirit. Mommy is somewhere out there leading the Green Lanterns as our Coach was unable to attend.
Today, we're all champions for participating. It was a great team and community building event, thanks to all of the volunteers from the Stittsville Softball Club and from the community. This ceremony at the end of the day was in thanks to them all.
In this classic game, the team was attempting to dunk the coach with a pail of water. We just had to hit the target, using our baseball throwing skills. It would seem, then, that the best coach would end up being the wettest.
I'm sure someone could equate this to developing baseball skills if they really wanted to. But really, this day was about having fun. What's more fun than toppling things over with a water gun!
One of the best parts of the short softball season was the day-long Fun Day, where each team was invited to participate in multiple activities. My buddy, Ethan, and I were full engaged, with matching face painting to go with it.
I was certainly not at all enthralled by this neat gift. From here it looks like a book, which would be a great educational gift. That must be why I am so pleased.
We were so thankful, I mean proud, that we couldn't pass up the occasion to provide a nice, little educational gift to encourage further great study. What do you think it is?
I wasn't the only sharp-dressed young man. To my right, in the black vest, is Ethan. To my left, in the white shirt, is Benjamin. How did we manage to get through? It must have been the clothes.
Without fail, everyone in the class received their diploma, much to the relief of the parents, and especially Madame Diane. It was an interesting year indeed, but we survived.
Can you see, or make that feel, the pride in me? Center stage receiving a diploma from the principal. If that's not motivating to keep studying, I don't know what is.
The names are being called and there appears to be some mixed reactions to the diplomas being handed out on stage. Let's hope the crowd supports my big moment.
Not really paying attention to the proceedings, but nervous just the same, I gaze into the crowd, ensuring that family is ready with camera in tow. Is there ever a question of this?
A classy bunch indeed, with their grad caps. Many dressed up for the occasion, and put their best feet forward. Madame Diane appears in her finest hour.
To the surprise of all, the classes filed in from outside. How they managed to keep everyone quiet and organized in the playground is beyond us! However, here we come. Jacob leading the way, followed very closely by our young graduate in the fancy green tie.
The podium is up, the banner is hung, the microphone is tuned and the stairs are built. Now the guessing game begins. Can you pick out your son or daughter's silhouette on the wall? If not, does that mean they don't graduate?
